The outcome was nothing short of remarkable:

1. Innovative Power Solution: A colossal 243kW grid-tied solar system was ingeniously installed on a custom-designed carport structure that doubled as shelter for their farm vehicles.

2. Stunning Savings: The grid-tied system orchestrated a jaw-dropping 49% reduction in the client’s municipal bill. And that’s not even counting the savings on generator running costs. Smart generator integration played a starring role, delivering cost savings and curbing carbon emissions, which can be attributed to the hardworking generators.

3. Generator Harmony: Previously, two generators ran in tandem due to the farm’s high power demand. However, thanks to the new setup, only one generator now hums along at 30-40% capacity. This resulted in not only reduced power strain but also a noticeable cut in generator maintenance costs.

4. Weighing the Options: Shumani Broiler carefully considered the pros and cons of an outright purchase versus a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). Although the PPA offered the allure of no CAPEX and OPEX, the farm opted for an outright purchase in the end.

5. Impressive ROI: The icing on the cake was the system’s Return on Investment (ROI), estimated to be a mere 4 years. And even after 2 years, the system continues to perform with unwavering efficiency. Regular log reports are sent to the client to ensure that system performance and electrical savings remain in the spotlight.
